One call to the Gigi and the boys were set up for some serious Party-Time. We loaded up and took our babies over to Gigi.Paws for fun and slumber. (they even got to have the chicken strips from the bowling ally, HEAVENLY. i snuck a bite.)
The drive to the coast was amazing for me. We had ENTIRE conversations, even enjoyed some moments of blissful silence=). When we got there we went downtown, checked-out the scene... laughed at how un-us it was! And found a glorious, umm, parking spot (hehehe) near the water. Parked the Soccer Mom Mobile and snuggled up for some z's. It was so fun! Cozy rosie and I could hear the water too.
We woke up, and headed to State Street where we enjoyed hours and hours of each other. Sat on the patio of a cafe; ate, drank, and talk to strangers. I worked on some embroidery, Russ did some reading. It was overcast and chilly and perfect.
After being downtown most of the day, we headed back to the van for a movie. It was hysterical. The back of the van was open and we were overlooking the ocean from a cliff. There was a sidewalk behind us so passer byes got to enjoy the comedy of our resourcefulness. We snuggled up and watched 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers'. It was lovely. We stayed until late. Had dinner, grabbed some joe and headed home, more eager than ever to hold our boys. Oh, how this little adventure feed me deep. I crave it, need it and I'm so thankful I have a husband who knows it. And even tho we didn't have the money to stay um... anywhere! (lol) We made it work and had the best time ever doing it. I really like him.
That is just the cutest, funnest, most spontaneous, lovely thing ever and I just love it and love you guys!
